Christmas Dinner

This festive season we have several options available to help you celebrate Christmas the Iglu way. Simple festive lunches in the bar to bespoke four course private dining in our restaurant we can provide the relaxed, friendly, cosy atmosphere perfect for any festive gathering.

Please note, due to our strict sourcing policy there may be some small alterations to the menus below if produce that meets our criteria is not available.

All dietary requirements will be happily catered for.

As ever we are happy to offer a bespoke service if you have a request we will do our level best to make your request a reality.

Dinner - Available to groups of 6 persons and over.


£25 per person for the set menu below with tea and coffee.

£32.50 per person with a glass of Prosecco or Kir Royale or Bucks Fizz on arrival and
a glass of red or white wine with the meal.
* Non alcoholic cocktails available. (This offer is available to parties of 6 or more)

Starters

Scottish smoked salmon.
Whisky crème fraiche and oatcakes.

Roasted butternut squash soup (v)
Served with home made organic sourdough bread.

Chicken liver pate
Toast and chutney.

Seared pigeon breast
On a bed of wilted spinach and thyme jus.

Mains

Roasted Partridge
With all the trimmings.

Crisp skin organic salmon fillet
With steamed seasonal vegetables, new potatoes and lemon butter sauce.

Homemade herb gnocchi (v)
With a ragout of mushrooms and roasted chestnuts.

Chargrilled 28 day hung Aberdeen Angus Ribeye steak
Triple cooked chips and whisky pepper sauce.

Desserts

Chocolate brownie
With ice cream and chocolate sauce.

Traditional christmas pudding
Brandy laced custard.

Scottish cheese board
A selection of artisan local cheeses with quince chutney, apple, and oatcakes.


Tea and coffee.

 


Al a Carte Dinner- Available by request for groups of 6 persons and over.

£32.50 for set menu below with Tea and coffee and petit fours.

£40.00 with a glass a glass of Barocca NV prosecco or Kir Royale or Bucks Fizz on arrival
and a premium glass of red or white wine with the meal.

Seared pigeon breast with McLeod Black pudding
Wilted spinach and thyme jus.

Roasted butternut squash soup (V)
With chilli oil and homemade sourdough.

Chicken, duck liver and brandy parfait
With spiced chutney and croutes.

Golden beetroot carpaccio with local hand picked crab meat.
Wood sorrel and lime vinagarette.

Main Courses

Chargrilled Aberdeen Angus fillet of beef
shallot puree and red wine jus.

West coast organic farmed salmon fillet and langoustines,
bisque sauce and herb salad.

Spiced pumpkin and watercress tart or twice baked Lanark Blue and walnut souffle. (V)

Burnside farm corn fed duck plate
Roasted breast, liver parfait, confit leg pithivier with an orange and clove sauce.

Whole roast partridge
Served with traditional christmas dinner accompaniments.

Sides

Creamed mashed potato.
Minted new potatoes.
Steamed seasonal vegetables.

Desserts

Pear, apple and soft fruits crumble
With egg custard.

Vanilla creme brulee
With fresh fruit salad and berry coulis.

Traditional christmas pudding
With Armagnac butter or vanilla custard.

Scottish cheese board
Strathdon Blue, Mull of kintyre Cheddar, Howgate Brie and Loch Arthur organic Criffle.
With quince chutney, apple, oatcakes and crisp bread.

Tea and coffee with home made petit fours.

£17.50 Set menu Lunch.
£22.50 per person with a glass of Prosecco or Kir Royale or Bucks Fizz on arrival and

With a garlic and cream sauce.

Seared Stornoway black pudding
With poached egg and hollandaise.

Pan fired fillet of sea bass
