Iglu is proud to offer our Taste of Scotland menu which is available to reserved group bookings throughout the summer and Autumn.
The menu below is a sample menu as we like to use the best of the season, so for example if come towards the end of August you may be lucky enough to enjoy the short lived Grouse season and enjoy some of theis fabulous game bird, spring time succulent borders lamb, world famous scottish soft fruits in high summer, fantastic foraged mushrooms in autumn, through all the way to winter sweet scottish langoustines.

Starters
Soup of the day (V)
Served with home made bread.
Semi-cured Organic Salmon
With whisky crème fraiche and oatcakes.
Seared pigeon breast
With MacLeod black pudding and quince chutney.
Confit chicken and Burnside farm duck leg terrine
With onion marmalade, and toasted sourdough.
North coast langoustines
Cooked in garlic butter.
Mains
8oz Borders boar burger
Served bun-less with triple cooked chips,
& boar jus.
Chicken Balmoral
Free range chicken breast stuffed with Macsweens haggis. Roasted tatties,
parsnip puree and whisky jus.
Crisp skin fillet of organic salmon
Home made tattie scone, tomato and caper sauce.
Wild mushroom tortellini
With pea veloute and truffle oil.
Wild grouse
On toasted brioche with wilted spinach and thyme jus.
Desserts
Macerated Scottish stawberries and raspberries
Between layers of almond shortbread and whisky scented mascarpone.
Selection of artisan Scottish cheeses
With oatcakes and quince chutney.
