Appealing to whisky novices and connoiseseurs alike, the Whisky Tasting and Dinner gives a unique insight into the world of Scots whisky. Led by a tutor, you will discover how Scotland's water of life is made, and most importantly, sample a few wee drams!

-One hour Scotch single malt whisky tasting session, led by a tutor.
-Sample 4 malt whiskies from the main whisky-producing regions of Scotland.
-Indulge in a 3-course dinner, featuring Scotland's best produce.
-Enjoy a special dram of whisky from a single cask.

The session will give you the chance to nose and taste 4 single malt whiskies from the main whisky producing regions of Scotland: the Lowlands, Highlands, Campbelltown and Islay.

Sample Menu
Starters
 
Soup of the day (V) 
Served with home made bread.             
 
Semi cured organic salmon
Cucumber salad, lime and olive oil dressing with whisky crème fraiche.
 
Salad of warm new season’s potatoes
Fine green beans, smoked trout, and anchovy dressing.
 
Seared pigeon breast with MacLeod black pudding
Pear chutney and thyme jus.
 
Steamed mussels
With Pelham Farm chorizo and tomato sauce.                                                                  

 
Mains
 
Roasted courgette with Highland Crowdie (v)
Spelt risotto, smoked paprika straw chips and red pepper coulis.
 
8oz Borders boar burger
Served bun-less with triple cooked chips & boar jus.
 
Pan fried breast and leg of free range chicken filled with tarragon mousse
Wild mushroom tortelloni, chicken liver parfait and cep cream.
 
Crisp skin fillet of Loch Duart Salmon
Saffron, artichoke, and broad bean broth with a herb salad.

28 day hung Aberdeen Angus Borders Rib eye steak
With triple cooked chips and whisky cream sauce.
 
Desserts

Cranachan
Fresh scottish raspberries bound in cream with a Highland malt soaked rolled oats.
 
Macerated Scottish stawberries and raspberries
Between layers of almond shortbread and whisky scented mascapone.
 
Scottish cheese board                                                                                     
A selection of artisan cheeses with quince chutney, apple, oatcakes and lavosh crisp bread.
